The alums of UNC Economics play an important role in advising the faculty, staff and students. Some offer internships for our current students; others return to speak with the students of our Economics Club about job opportunities after graduation. We are also grateful for the financial contributions made by many former students; these contributions make it possible to offer opportunities to our undergrads that would be impossible to fund otherwise.

Here we highlight our alumni and alumnae in two ways. The first is through a series of profiles that describe current and former students: you may find a classmate in the mix. The second is through the Economics Department Advisory Board (EDAB), a group of alumni and alumnae who assemble in Chapel Hill once a semester to work with faculty, staff and students to innovate in the Economics major to meet the demands of 21st Century liberal arts education and job opportunities.
