EconAid Center
The EconAid Center provides free, drop-in tutoring with undergraduate peer tutors, for students in the core economics courses (101, 400, 410, and 420) as well as select upper-division economics courses. It is also a space for professors, TAs, and ULAs to hold office hours and help sessions as well as a general study space for economics students. Please check the schedule below to see when help will be available for your course. The center opens on the first day of class and closes on the last day of exams. (Peer Tutoring will begin the 3rd week of classes). The EconAid Center is closed on days that the University is closed.
Fall 2021
This semester, in-person peer tutoring will be held in the EconAid Center (GA 009). Tutoring will be available every day except Saturday for ECON 101, 400, 410, and 420. We will also have at least one Peer Tutor who has taken 411, 415, 416, 423, 425, 445, 450, 460, 465, 470, 490 (Balaban), 510, 545, 590 (Rabinovich), and 590 (Babii), and also have tutors who have used Stata in courses beyond Econ400 and are designated as Stata Peer Tutors. Students can go to them for help with Stata related questions in Econ400, Econ470/570, and other 500-level courses that have a Stata component. This semester we will have the following rules in place:
- Students and tutors are required to wear masks at all times while in the EconAid Center.
- There is no food or drink allowed in the EconAid Center (except water).
- Signs will be posted limiting capacity in the room, priority will be given to students attending office hours and peer tutoring. If the room gets crowded, students using it as a study space will be asked to leave.
- We are limiting the number of people holding office hours or offering peer tutoring to 2 at a time during most opening hours.
The EconAid Center will use MyDigitalHand to maintain a waitlist for in-person tutoring. Please see student instructions for sign-up.

Tutoring Opportunities
The EconAid Center is accepts applications for Fall Peer tutoring the preceding April & for Spring Peer Tutoring the preceding November. All Peer tutors must be Economics majors (other majors considered if student has a strong economics background) with at least a 3.5 GPA in economics courses and a 3.3 GPA overall. Student must have completed ECON101 and at least be concurrently enrolled in ECON410 or ECON420.
