Marlon received his Ph.D. in 2021 from the University of Zurich and the Swiss Finance Institute. He later held postdoctoral positions in economics at the University of Zurich and the University of Pennsylvania before joining UNC in 2025. His research focuses on macroeconomics and financial economics, with a particular interest in heterogeneous agent models and deep learning-based computational methods for computing equilibria.
