Helen Tauchen joined the UNC faculty in 1977 after receiving her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Her research interests are in applied microeconomics including location, transportation, crime and regulation. In 1995, she was Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University and a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago in 1987 and 1995.
